IMAS plans to launch Datsun as an LCGC in Sep 13

IMAS: Indomobil (IMAS) plans to launch Datsun as an LCGC in Sep 13. Datsun will be priced at Rp105mn–Rp110mn on the road. Datsun in Indonesia will be offered with more than 80% local contents, with model that is slightly different from the one launched in India. Nissan has prepared to expand its production capacity to 200,000 units/year in 2016 from the current 100,000. The expansion will require more than USS200mn. Nissan has allocated 50% of the total capacity for Datsun production. Nissan ambitiously targets to sell 100,000 units Datsun per year, while the government targets 300,000 units/year in 2016.
