BREAKING : Multiple People Killed at Texas Church Shooting

Multiple people were killed and others injured after a gunman opened fire at a Sutherland Springs, Texas, church on Sunday, according to local police and county officials.

A representative from the Wilson County Sheriff's Office said Sunday afternoon that the number of fatalities had yet to be confirmed, though Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton told Fox News that at least 25 were dead.

Ernest "Skip" Hajek, a county commissioner, confirmed the shooter is deceased, adding that "it appears" he died of a self-inflicted wound.

The shooting took place at First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, about 35 miles southeast of San Antonio. Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation were on the scene.
