Israel Agrees to Long-Term Cease-Fire Deal With Hamas

Israel has agreed to a cease-fire deal in its seven-week battle with Hamas, a senior Israeli official said.

The official gave no details on the accord, but the Israeli media reported that Hamas's demands for a seaport, an airport and the release of prisoners would be discussed in future negotiations, along with Israel's demands for the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip.
